Recommended String Upgrade for Peak Performance

Every ChillCat guitar is inspected and adjusted to ensure it is playable upon arrival. Like most production guitars—including many well-known brands—the factory-installed strings are intended to protect the instrument during storage and transit and may not deliver the best possible playing experience.

For the best tone, tuning stability, feel, and overall performance, we recommend replacing the original strings after receiving your guitar. Our preferred setup is a .010–.046 gauge set, such as Ernie Ball Regular Slinky (2221), D’Addario EXL110, or D’Addario NYXL1046. This simple upgrade can help your ChillCat perform at its full potential.
